Fora long time, I was in search of a very simple mobile phone for my grandmother that can be usedinan urgent situation. There was no chance she couldhandle a standard mobilephone.However,once surfing on the internet I saw a phone that features anemergency button on the back.This button can bepreprogrammed to call in an emergency - say your doctor, a neighbor, or me. I want you to help me with my search to help my grandmother with her need of a simple mobile phone. Below I have mentioned a list of desired features,which I am looking for in her mobile phone.

 

· Buttons that make a sound, whenever pressed

· Buttons should be large and can be felt individually

· Look pertaining to buttons that are well spaced, large and raised

· Buttons that light up to increase contrast

· My grandmother haslow vision so she could take advantage from buttons with excellent contrast along with clear display

 

· At present, the majority of the mobile phone providers offer colour screens.So, I want a mobile phone in which my grandmother adjuststhe brightness and other screen configurations to improve contrast

· Fonts are required with clear prints

 

· I want a cell phone with a speed dial so my grandmother can easily dial preprogrammed numbers with one or two button presses

· It should also have a voice-dialing feature, where the mobile phone identifies the person's name when you say it

· A cell phonethat speaks back to you when you press on a particular number

· Most cell phones will not speak back when the number is being dialed, but some may speak the person's name as well as other prompts

 

· The cell phone should not be too small to hold or to find inside her bag

· Size of the display is notimportant, but the size of the fonts and clarity matters a lot

· Should not switch on accidentally

· keypad lock or lid is required that flips over to protect the keys

· Ease of answering a call. Several mobile phones provide a facility; you may answer a call by pressing any of its buttons

· SOS button is a must required for an emergency
